Former Crusader orders in the 21st century

The diploma thesis ,,Former Crusader orders in the 21st century" deals with knightly orders, which in the Middle Ages held crusades and operated in Jerusalem. At the same time, these are orders that exist until today and also operate in the Czech Republic. The work specifically deals with the Sovereign Military Hospitaller Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, Rhodes and Malta, the Military and Hospitaller Order of Saint Lazarus of Jerusalem, the Order of the Holy Sepulcher of Jerusalem and the Order of the Brothers of the German House of Saint Mary in Jerusalem. The work describes the historical development and rebirth of the former Crusader orders into charitable organizations of the 21st century. The work focuses on the interpretation of contemporary life and the organization of orders, which it compares with each other
Spirituality and supervision in charitable and diakonal organization

The aim of this work is to present the spiritual aspects of social work and supervision in the charitable and diaconal field of practice. Introduction to the general form of social work and its anchoring in legislation and the current form, then an evaluation of how this form of social work is specified in charitable and diaconal organizations. Simultaneously, with reference to selected literature, it presents charitable and diaconal organizations as such, what historical background they have, their specifics, values, etc. It also deals with spirituality itself, its definition, specification and historical development. Specifically, it deals with the presentation of Christian spirituality, which is closely related to a perspective on pirituality in selected areas of practice. The thesis also deals with Christian spirituality in a social work. It includes Christian spirituality in the context of motivation of social workers. The position of Christian spirituality in charitable and diaconal organizations is also important in this work. Another important part of this bachelor thesis is supervision. The thesis contains an introduction to the concept of supervision and its relation to social work. From selected sources it also states in what manner does supervision take place in charitable and diaconal organizations and the relationship between spirituality and supervision. In the last part the findings, that result from the overall content of the work, are evaluated.

Analysis of the state of vocational training of employees in a selected non-state non-profit organization focused on the field of charity

The aim of the bachelor thesis is an analysis and investigation of current staff training in a non-profit non-governmental organization focused on charity. For this purpose was selected the non-profit organization Regional Charity Pelhřimov. This organization provides services for people in distress and in social need. The theoretical part explains the concepts and methods of professional education of employees. In the practical part a research was conducted using a questionnaire survey. This questionnaire was submitted to employees and the manager in order to determine the state of the vocational training of employees with the regard to institutional requirements. The results of the research were compared and in the conclusion there were suggested possibilities how to make the education more effective in the future.
The Activity of Caritas in Archdiocese of Prague between 1989 - 2009

Submitted thesis describes charitable activity in Christianity and its history as well as charitable activity in other religions. Thesis focuses mainly on research and the analysis of Prague archdiocese charitable activity within years 1989 - 2002 of available information. Paper presents findings that result from the analysis of charitable activity within areas of social work, humanitarian aid and above all development co-operation. In diploma thesis, we described various fulfilments of supportive development projects, especially the most conspicuous and the most significant participation in development activity -on project Remote adoption. The significance of this activity between years 1993 - 2009 reflects its results. Submitted paper qualifies results of analysis and determinates further possibilities of given problem`s examination. The basic purpose of thesis is on the basis of gained results, pointed on significant contribution of Prague archdiocese charitable activity not only within Czech Republic, but also in foreign countries. Moreover, the practical importance of thesis is seen as a feedback on complexity, range and variability of Prague archdiocese charitable activity for reader, other institutions as well as for Prague archdiocese itself. The communication Strategy of Nonprofit Organization Movember Foundation in the Czech Republic

The bachelor thesis Communication Strategy of Nonprofit Organization Movember Foundation in the Czech Republic presents international nonprofit organization which focuses on men's health. The first part of thesis focuses on history of the organization and its missions. The thesis continues with a chapter in which is explained the role of marketing in nonprofit organizations then marketing goals in the organization are defined. The next part of the thesis is concentrated on communication strategy of the organization in the Czech Republic. This part also analyzes who are target audiences and defines competitors among other nonprofit organizations within the same area of interest. Furthermore this chapter presents communication activities in two time periods: 2009- 2012 and 2013-2015 and analyses them. The next part concerns author's own research, which will reveal awareness of the organization in the Czech Republic. Moreover research will show if Czechs consider the organization as trustworthy institution or not. In addition to that, research will disclose if the organization was successful in terms of increasing the awareness of male's cancer during the 7- year-period of its presence in the Czech Republic.
